I ran into this weird issue with the SSRS reports while publishing it. The procedure which was feeding the data was working fine but somehow the reports kept throwing error. After some amount of googling (http://goo.gl/A0SlM).
The result was to look at my date format and adjust it and publish the reports and it worked. I have written 100's of reports with dates and never had this issue.
